During National Telecommunicators Week, we recognize the Oak Creek Dispatchers who serve as the first link in the chain of survival. Every emergency response begins with them. In moments of chaos and uncertainty, it is their calm voice that gathers critical information, sends the right resources, and sets the entire emergency response system in motion for Oak Creek and two other surrounding communities.

Long before firefighters and paramedics arrive, dispatchers are already saving lives. Through EMS pre-arrival instructions, they guide callers through CPR during cardiac arrest, controlling uncontrolled bleeding, assisting with the delivery of a baby, and other lifesaving actions that stabilize patients until responders arrive. Their work is often unseen, but its impact is undeniable. On behalf of City of Oak Creek Fighters Local 1848, we thank our telecommunicators for their professionalism, skill, and dedication to protecting our community. 🚒📞
