We’re excited to share that we received a grant from the Barrington Area Community Foundation to implement our new Aging in Place with Virtual Reality program at the Greencastle of Barrington community!

This initiative will bring immersive VR experiences directly to our community, helping residents explore new places, stay mentally engaged, and connect socially, all from the comfort of home.

We’re grateful for this support and can’t wait to see the joy and connection it brings.

These voices remind us that every journey matters and that inspiration often comes from lived experience.

It’s official, we are a 2026 Water and Environment grantee! Thank you to the American Water Charitable Foundation for helping Embrace Living purchase EPA WaterSense showerheads for the Greencastle of Sterling affordable housing community.

This investment helps us advance sustainability and a healthier environment for all.

The Embrace Living Communities Greencastle of Mulford and Allerton have a walking club that sets a faraway destination as a goal to reach with their combined total steps. When they get there, they celebrate with a party that includes learning more about their destination while having a fantastic time. This round, the residents walked 15,983,186 steps (7,992 miles) to Japan! They enjoyed their first exposure to Ikebana or kadō ("way of flowers") the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement that focuses on bringing nature and humanity together. Thank you, United Church Funds, for awarding us the grant that made this possible!
