Come on down to Alley Waban Park and enjoy the kite festival. There are some beautiful big kites here and and you can make your own kite for kids and the food truck is about to open up and serve food on this beautiful afternoon.

What a great event yesterday in Alley Waban Park, an old school baseball ⚾️ game with the Westfield Wheelman vs the Providence Grays…. It’s was a great turnout and many’s of the Sharks 🦈 baseball players were in attendance, fun for all ⚾️

Thanks to OB fire chief Foster and senior captain Jimmy Maseda and the EMS team that helped us conduct a simulating drowning situation at Town Beach Lifeguard stand number 2. Our lifeguards did amazing job saving the victim calling in the drowning, started CPR and used our AED to help the victim until the EMS arrived on scene . One of our lifeguards with the use of our UTV brought the EMS down the beach to the victim where they took over life-saving procedures.  Thanks again to everyone from the Oak Bluffs emergency team in simulating this drill. It was a great combined effort from multiple departments.

Girls basketball summer league is canceled tonight due to the weather

The Oak Bluffs Parks Dept and the volunteer Tree Stewards had a great time today in the Fourth of July parade 💥💥 so many people we went through 70 pounds of candy a little more than halfway through the parade. What a great event for the Island.!!

 Ian Minor and his coaches our having their Second day of battle in the Bluffs everybody is staying hydrated having a great time !!!! we got basketball games starting at 2 o’clock with the girls team, followed by the boys basketball team at 3 o’clock down at Niantic Park. Come on down and support everybody.
