Wednesday Enrichment was full of learning, connection, creativity, and FUN!

Our students teamed up in Yearbook Club, stepped into leadership, explored 3D printing, learned guitar with Mrs. Nicholson, created with Ms. Kia, and challenged themselves in Investigative Thinking & Problem Solving with Mr. Peters.

Deputy Paredes visited classes, connected with students, and even joined them for some basketball! 🏀

Our Pentathlon & Battle of the Books teams kicked off their first meeting, our seniors collaborated and prepared for their final year, and CTE Culinary Arts got underway as we look forward to continuing our Elderberry House partnership in November. 👩‍🍳

So much happening in one day—and so much joy in learning! We love Wednesdays!

What a great way to integrate our K-2 program with our middle and high school enrichment classes! Learning Buddies!!! 📖🎨 Our big buddies ventured on over to Ms. Seymour’s class and did a great job learning alongside our little Timberwolves. 🖤💛

We welcomed 6th-12th grade back to campus today! Our teachers set our students up for success with clear expectations and great community building! Our classes were full of smiles and great attitudes. 💛🖤

Today we opened our doors to our K-6 enrichment students! Our classrooms were ready. Our staff were thrilled! It was a great day! Ms. Seymour and Mrs. Wilson are back at it! Ms. Kia was ready for more art this year! We even welcomed a new music teacher, Mrs. Nicholson! We are looking forward to a great year and welcoming our middle and high school students back tomorrow! 💛🖤

What a great afternoon! Thank you to all of our families who joined us for our student and family orientation today. We had a great turnout!  Shout out to all of our staff who led parent training sessions, TK orientation, helped with computer distribution, pictures, our information booth, book donation, root beer floats and more!  Thank you to our CAC students who came and volunteered as well!  We love seeing all of these partnerships, this is going to be a great school year! 🖤💛🐾

Chawanakee Academy is getting ready for the 26-27 school year! A couple of weeks ago some of our staff joined Chawanakee Unified colleagues at the PLC at Work Institute. Together we learned more about supporting our students and families through great collaboration and partnerships. Our staff is dedicated to our students, families and each other and we cannot wait to welcome our Timberwolf family back!

The Chawanakee Academy family is proud to celebrate Mason and his incredible performance at the Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross in Mammoth Lakes — one of the most iconic amateur motocross events in the country!

Day 2 Highlights:
🏆 Mini Senior Open – 6th place
🏆 6th place overall out of 40 riders
🏆 Last Chance Qualifier – 1st place
🏆 Hole Shot Award
🏆 Mini Senior 1 – 8th place

We love seeing Chawanakee Academy students pursue their passions at a high level while staying on track academically. Our hybrid program gives students the flexibility to excel in school while making time for opportunities like this — and Mason is doing just that.

We are so proud of CAC student, Dylan Miller! He missed his graduation but for good reason! He will be joining the Army National Guard on September 15th and will begin training at Fort Benning, Georgia. We are incredibly proud of his commitment to serving our country and grateful for the dedication, courage, and leadership he has shown throughout his time here. Way to go, Dylan! 🖤💛🇺🇸

We are proud of Chawanakee Academy student, Jamie Spurgeon! What a great experience to be a part of. It’s been exciting for our teachers to support our student athletes and watch them grow. We love that we get to provide an educational pathway for kids while they still get to participate in CIF sports.
