In 2001, Donna Sue Groves painted a quilt block on her to***co barn to honor her mother. Friends and neighbors loved her painting and wanted painted quilts of their own. When Donna decided to paint barns with quilt squares throughout her Ohio town, the barn quilt folk art movement was born. Have you seen one?

Crafters at the Deer Run Branch recently created their own versions of barn quilts on paper. Learn more about and make your own at home with help from Craftsy, the library's free online resource for crafting classes: https://rebrand.ly/fb-craftsy
