🚶‍♀️🎒 Safe Routes to School Sidewalk Project is Underway!

Work has officially kicked off on the west side of Summit Street between Cedar Hill Avenue and Main Street and is expected to continue on the west side for the next two weeks.

This project will help create safer, more accessible routes for students, families, and our community. 🚸

Join us Friday evening as we gather to remember and honor those we lost on September 11, 2001 and honor those that have passed due to illness related to 911 and the many who continue to suffer🇺🇸

The Nyack Valley Cottage Scouts will lead a special Bell Tribute, with one ring for each year, using the historic fire engine from Empire Hook and Ladder Company #1.

Following the memorial service, stay to see Nyack’s Tribute in Light, shining over the Hudson at Memorial Park from dusk until midnight.

🚨 TRASH & BRUSH PICKUP UPDATE

Due to limited staffing today, Nyack DPW will be focusing on trash pickup on the north side of Main Street today. Crews will return to the south side of Main Street tomorrow to complete trash collection.

Please note that brush bags will be picked up on Wednesday.

Our DPW team is currently short-staffed as several employees are working on the sinkhole at the DPW facility. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews work to keep up with collection while addressing this important emergency repair.
