Our members were out today on three nearly back-to-back calls:
First, an assist to Wright Twp VFD on a brush fire - Wright command cleared the engine as another call in the Borough on Nuangola Ave was dispatched to assist the ambulance with moving a patient. Shortly after, another call on interstate 81S came in for a tractor trailer with it's brakes on fire was placed.

The combination of dry fine fuels, southerly wind gusts of to 20
to 30 mph, and relative humidity values as low as 20 to 35
percent will contribute to an elevated risk for fire spread
on Thursday for Northeast Pennsylvania.

Be sure to heed any local and state burning regulations.

Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

Our crew was called to service this evening, assist to Wright Twp FD at Valley Stream for a residential gas leak. Engine 1 responded, requested by Wright command to stand by at Blytheburn Lake, and all departments were cleared shortly after.

Dispatched this morning to Willow Grove St in the Borough, tree and wires down

Crews were called out this evening for a truck on the interstate with brakes on fire. Engine 1 responded, advised by Wright command to stand by off the highway, and cleared shortly after.

It's that time - Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors can only alert you to possible danger when they're WORKING. Make sure they're installed and maintained correctly, and tested regularly.
