Make sure to check your recently mailed Nowthen Newsletter for a coupon to recycle 2 household appliances, 2 electronics, and up to 4 tires for free! Keep in mind that the entrance to the recycling center for the event will be North of the center, on 199th Avenue.

Nowthen Residents! It’s Nowthen Fire Friday!🔥On Tuesday, September 8th, Assistant Chief Mike Nelson, Captain Isaac Schulz, Firefighters Jerald Lindberg, Andy Hanks, and Anoka County Deputy Jesse Haugen were all honored and awarded a Life Saving Award at the monthly council meeting. The award was presented to all by Dr. Marc Conterato for their efforts and teamwork resulting in the saving of a life on August 4th, 2026. As stated on their awards, their actions are an example of the great things that happen because of selflessness, courage, and determination to act and reflect the highest standards of service to the Nowthen Community. Thank you to our amazing first responders for your continued effort and response to our community!

Nowthen Residents! It’s Nowthen Fire Friday!🔥We want to formally invite you to the Nowthen Fire Department's Open House! It will take place during the Heritage Festival at the Fire Station from 11:00 to 2:00. There will be a Car Extrication Demonstration at 12:30. We will also have station tours, kids' fire hats, hiring information, and an opportunity to meet and talk with your local firefighters! We are looking forward to it and hope to see you there!
