Our department is accepting applications for our 2026 Citizens Police Academy (CPA). The CPA will consist of an 8-week curriculum educating the participants about law enforcement topics and functions of the police department. Classes will be held once a week from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm every Tuesday starting August 25, 2026, through October 13, 2026.

The CPA is free of charge, and class size are limited. Applications will be processed as they are received. Applicants must be a Russell Township resident, at least 18 years of age and pass a limited background check.

Applications can be picked up at the Russell Township Police Department. Deadline to apply is August 9, 2026. For questions, please call 440-338-6212.
