Our Explorers helping out at the Novato Fourth of July Parade.

Last night at approximately 11:50pm, the Novato Police Department assisted the California Highway Patrol and Novato Fire Protection District with responding to the report of a vehicle that had collided with the center median of southbound US highway 101 in the area of Ignacio Boulevard. Tragically, two teenagers, one a Novato resident and the other a San Rafael resident, died as a result of the collision and three other teenagers were injured.

No words can truly capture the mix of emotions our community will be feeling as we all grieve these two young lives lost. The Novato Police Department would like to express our most sincere condolences to the families and friends of the two teenagers who lost their lives.
