Drive carefully for the next few days, it’s about to get interesting.

Howdy!

So the forecast is on track with what I discussed yesterday.

What I want to elaborate on a bit is what’s going to happen Sunday afternoon and into Monday.

The parent center of low pressure is going to move onshore and into our region Sunday afternoon and Monday.

As it does so, colder air aloft will move overhead and should help change any rain that’s falling over to snow.

Where the forecast gets complicated is with regard to an area of the storm called the deformation zone.

It’s an area of stretching in the atmosphere that help enhances rates of precipitation that fall to the ground. You’ll often see periods of moderate snowfall under this zone with wide variations in snowfall over short distances.

So, in summary, wherever the deformation zone sets up is where someone could see 4-8” of snur between 5pm Sunday and NOON on Monday.

Anywhere from 1-3” of additional snowfall elsewhere. As always, I’ll keep yee posted!

K, thx bye

This holiday season we were asked to help a local Idaho Falls family with a laptop belonging to a family member (writer) who had passed away last year. We were able to recover the password so they could access their writings, screenplays, and other memories.
We can help with data recovery, repairs, upgrades, and more. Message us to see what we can do for you!

First mountain snow and windy conditions accompanied with it this weekend.

Hunting season is in full swing. If you’re planning on heading up to the hills, please bring winter weather clothing, extra food, blankets AND let someone know where you’ll be and your expected time of return. This will help rescue efforts if, heaven forbid, something happens on the hill.

Stay safe!
