The annual RVFD draw down is tomorrow, 11/8 at The Reeltown Barn at 7 Oaks. Come out and enjoy some Lil Smokey’s BBQ and fellowship with us. Dinner will be served at 5pm with the draw down starting shortly after. Hope to see you all there. Remember this event is for ticket holders only. If we have any plates left they will be sold after ticket holders have been served.

Reeltown Elementary School Opens Storm Shelter Due to Inclement Weather at 3 PM

Reeltown, Al. – In response to the forecast of severe weather in the area, Reeltown Elementary School is activating its storm shelter for the safety and well-being of the community. Effective at 3pm, the school’s storm shelter will be available to anyone and everyone in the Reeltown Community. Everyone is encouraged to stay informed about the weather conditions and remain alert for further updates.

REMEMBER

SHELTER RULES (STRICTLY ENFORCED)
●This is a school facility. All normal school operating guidelines apply.
●No pets will be allowed inside the shelter. With exception to service animals.
●Children must be supervised at all times.
●No weapons or fi****ms permitted.
●No smoking or va**ng allowed.
●No alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed.
●Be respectful of others.
●To ensure everyone’s safety, the shelter doors will lock for the duration of a
tornado warning, so it’s important to arrive before the warning is active. If/when a
warning is issued, the doors will not be opened for entry/exit for any reason.
●The shelter will close at the conclusion of the severe weather event.

The entrance to the shelter is near the RHS Softball Field Loop at the rear of RES.

In response to advice from the Tallapoosa County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Reeltown Elementary School Gym will serve as a community storm shelter in anticipation of severe weather expected in the area on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Please stay tuned for updates on hours of availability, which will be published tomorrow, Saturday, March 15, at 11:00 am following tomorrow morning’s weather briefing.

We love our visits to RES. The Kindergarteners were so well behaved and had so many great questions. RES is the best of the best. It’s such a blessing to serve these kids.

Congratulations to these young men. To get to the Paramedic level, they had to endure 5 semesters of classroom instruction and roughly 500 clinical hours.
We are especially proud of our very own Brody Newman. Brody is an asset to the Reeltown community just as he is to the City of Auburn. If you see him, congratulate him on this awesome accomplishment. Brody is one of the best in the business, we are blessed to call him one of our own.

Please join us in congratulating the Auburn Fire Department's newest group of paramedics! Like so many others in our organization, these firefighters remain dedicated to improving their skill set and providing the highest level of care to our community. Congrats, guys! 👏
