The Town of Notasulga was honored to receive $14,905.50 through the Mid-South RC&D FY2026 Grant Cycle for the purchase of 425 Midland NOAA Weather Alert Radios. πŸ“»β›ˆοΈ

We are excited to announce that all 425 weather radios have been distributed to residents, helping strengthen emergency preparedness and keep our community informed during severe weather events.

These radios are especially beneficial for residents who may not have access to a smartphone with reliable cell service, cable or satellite television, or landline-based alert systems. The radios provide a dependable source of emergency information, helping keep families informed during severe weather and other emergencies.

A special thank you to the Notasulga Volunteer Fire & E.M.S., Notasulga Police Department, and Town Hall for their assistance in programming the radios prior to distribution.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Senator William Beasley and Representative Pebblin Warren for their support in making this important project a reality.

Working together, we continue to make Notasulga a safer and more prepared community!
