Our disc golf course has begun relocating. Thank you, Town of Mountain Village for granting us access. Here's a general idea of how it will go.

"12 Incompetent Jurors" by Ian McWethy, a production of the Norwood Community Players, Directed by Claire Jacobs, made possible by arrangement with PlayScripts.com.

A highly humorous parody of 12 Angry Men: When a man is accused of abducting half a dozen cats, it's a simple open-and-shut case even for a jury filled with oddballs - the dim-witted PR gal, a bickering couple, a guy obsessed with french fries. All the evidence points to guilty, and yet Juror #8 just won't be convinced. Will she sway the others?

Our local cast of characters is coming together under the direction of one of own - Claire Jacobs was born and raised in Norwood, and now is studying theater at Hastings College. All the usual suspects - I mean Jurors - will get you falling-out-of-your-chair laughing. Kristen Noonan, Pete Lundeen, Carissa Reiner, Corey Jacobs, Liza Tanguay, Shawny Darby, Ellen Metrick, Buff Hooper, Megan Coxwell. And joining us this year - Ashlee Meeks, Erin Dann and Ian Dann-Fernald.

MORE on Norwood resident Angela Watkins:
Angela is a dedicated theatre artist, educator, and director with a lifelong passion for the performing arts. She was one of the founding members of the Telluride Repertory Theatre Company, now known as Telluride Theatre. There, she developed the company’s education and outreach programs, expanding its reach to hundreds of students throughout the Four Corners Region.
In addition to acting and directing, Angela has always been deeply committed to teaching. She served as the theatre arts teacher at the Telluride Schools, where she built and led a comprehensive theatre program over a twenty-year career. Her curriculum spanned acting, movement, and improvisation, as well as playwriting, directing, and stagecraft, giving students a well-rounded foundation in the dramatic arts.
Over the years, Angela has directed and produced a wide range of productions—from Shakespearean classics and musicals to contemporary plays and original works—leaving a lasting impact on her students and the community.

AND IT'S A WRAP! The indoor climbing wall season is now done. We'll open back up in early fall. Thanks to all who came out to either try it for the first time or became regulars (lots of kids!). We hope you take your skills outdoors this summer. Keep an eye out for climbing meetups in the West End, which has a lot to offer!
