Today marks 25 years since one of the worst days in American history. Today, we honor and remember. We remember the thousands of innocent people who were senselessly killed. We remember all those still being affected today. We remember the brave first responders: the EMTS, fireman, and police officers who rushed towards the danger that day and paid the ultimate sacrifice. We Remember the brave civilians who acted out of courage, bravery and duty to help those in need. 25 years have passed since this horrible attack on us and we vowed to never forget. Please take a moment today to reflect, honor, and remember. We will never forget, and always honor. 🇺🇸

Construction continues today on Blanch Avenue and Mills Avenue. Blanch Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from Tappan Road to Broad Street. Please utilize Broadway to reach the West side of town.

Construction projects are taking place today and tomorrow (Tuesday September 8/Wednesday September 9) on Blanch Avenue West of Tappan Road and at the intersection of Mills Avenue and Austin Avenue. Both projects will require the full road closure. Please avoid the area and reach the West end of town on Broadway.

🎒🚸 WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! 🚸🎒

As a new school year begins, the Norwood Police Department would like to wish all students, parents, teachers, and school staff a safe and successful school year!

With school back in session, motorists are reminded to SLOW DOWN, STAY ALERT, and WATCH FOR:

🚶 Pedestrians crossing streets and walking near roadways
🚲 Bicyclists traveling to and from school
🛑 Crossing Guards assisting students at intersections
👮 Traffic Officers directing traffic around our schools

Please be especially cautious in school zones, obey posted speed limits, follow the directions of crossing guards and traffic officers, and never use your cell phone while driving.

Let's work together to make sure everyone gets to school and home safely.

The Northern Valley Junior Knights are holding a car wash fundraiser in the Fire Dept parking lot on Saturday 7/25 from 10AM-4PM. Please use caution driving through the area and stop by to support our student athletes.
