Southwest Carver County Fire Explorers Fire and EMS program for boys and girls, ages 14-20 and graduated 8th grade, interested in learning firefighter skills and first responder skills.

Kids are you interested in becoming a firefighter or first responder? Think about becoming an Explorer with the Southwest Carver County Fire Departments of Hamburg, Cologne, and Norwood Young America. -Learn abou

t volunteer firefighting and EMS
-Train with experienced firefighters
-Attend meetings once or twice a month
-CPR certification
-Physical training
-Fundraiser activities
-Community service
-Public education events
-Hands on training with fire and EMS related tools


Minimum Qaulifications:
-Be 14-20 years of age
-Have completed 8th grade
-Maintain a GPA of 2.0 with no failing grades
-Be in good physical health and of good moral character
-Complete and return the Explorers application
-Have parental or guardian consent
