We 💙 Martha!!!

Recognizing Martha Morse of the Hartford Emergency Communications Center.

This week marks the observance of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, a time to recognize Dispatchers for their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to public safety. Over the past year, the Vermont Emergency Dispatch Association has worked diligently to grow as an organization that supports Dispatchers across the state. Throughout this week, we are proud to highlight several Dispatchers from departments across Vermont who have been nominated by their colleagues for recognition.

In writing this commendation, Martha’s colleagues shared with us that she has an incredible amount of experience and has a true attention to detail. She provides an outstanding level of care to her callers, never losing her cool, and always being a kind and compassionate call-taker. She has become an expert with the management of their CAD program and is a great resource for all Dispatchers to lean on when there are technical questions. She strives to constantly look for ways to improve the technologies that Dispatchers utilize to make their jobs more efficient.

Martha, on behalf of the Vermont Emergency Dispatch Association, we thank you for your service!

For those wondering about what happened at Hanover High School yesterday - here is the info. I will say - while we never want bad things to happen - I remain impressed with our area’s ability, capability, and professionalism in the response.

If you've ever had to call 911 for Fire or EMS reasons, you have been affected by Doug. He is an epic force for good in the 911/Dispatching Space. Plus he's a hell of a guy. All of our NPD people will be sporting these shirts soon, and I encourage you to support the cause.
