Upper Valley Trails Alliance

Upper Valley Trails Alliance Promoting Trails, Connecting Communities! www.uvtrails.org UVTA's methodology includes Stewardship, Outreach, and Education.

The Upper Valley Trails Alliance is a non-profit in the Upper Valley Region that:
*connects people and places through a regional trail network
*leads a coalition of local trail groups and advocates, and
*promotes active lifestyles through trail use in all seasons. There is no other entity filling the need to coordinate and maximize the efforts of the various trail-related organiza

tions throughout the area. Our projects and programs make simultaneous use of these approaches. Visit the About -> History/Mission & Vision and other pages of our website to learn how!

We spent this week on the final stages of the accessible pathway at the Randolph Recreation Center. Here are some before and after pictures. The trail is now open and we've moved on to finishing touches and clean-up!

Throughout our time in Randolph, we've been surrounded by hundreds of visitors using this invaluable community resource—from Special Olympian basketball players, to tennis and baseball players, to swimmers, to bikers and hikers, and children playing on the playground. We had many people stop to thank us for our work, and more than one person even offered to help!

We're grateful and proud to work with our good Randolph partners people to make these spaces more accessible to everyone.

Seeking some shade this weekend? The forest never disappoints!

🌲Mayor-Niles Forest, featured in today's edition of Daybreak Upper Valley, has a trail network that climbs through the forest on the west slope of Moose Mountain ridge. Hikers have the chance to experience steep climbs, rewarding viewpoints, old woods roads, and the White Ledges.

Near the Iby Road trailhead, hikers may spot flags set out by the Upper Valley Trails Alliance marking the proposed route for a new trail on the Hanover Conservancy 's Hewes Ravine Property.

Hike map and more details are on Trail Finder: https://www.trailfinder.info/trails/trail/mayor-niles-forest

⚠ Please excuse the mess ⚠

We made great progress at Randolph Recreation Center last week on a mobility-friendly path that will make the facilities more accessible to the whole community!

The pathway was dug out and we began putting down the layers that make up the trail, even finishing a portion.
