Fellow Democrats of the Seven Westernmost Towns of Chenango County:
One of our most important tasks in being a citizen is exercising our right to vote, and never has it been more important than now! We need to ensure that there are Democratic candidates on the ballot for the Primary election 6/23/2026 and on the ballot for the general election on 11/03/2026.
The seven towns of Lincklaen, Otselic, Pitcher, Pharsalia, McDonough, German and Smithville are the only Chenango County towns in the 131st NYS Assembly District, currently occupied by a Republican. We are also part of the 53rd NYS Senate District with other northern towns in the county, also occupied by a Republican, and all of Chenango County is in the 19th Congressional District. Josh Riley, Democrat, is our Congressman and he needs our signatures and our support.
Lincklaen, Pitcher, Pharsalia, McDonough and Smithville have NO representatives on the Chenango County Democratic Committee, who would normally be canvassing enrolled voters to sign petitions to get Democratic candidates on the ballot.
We are the Committee representatives for the Town of Otselic. We will be holding a Petition Signing Event on Saturday, March 7th at the South Otselic Methodist Church, 102 Clarence Church Road, South Otselic (just past the main intersection in South Otselic).Drop in any time between 10-2. Have some refreshments.
We welcome residents of Lincklaen, Pitcher, Pharsalia, German, McDonough and Smithville to join us.
Are you feeling isolated as a Democrat in the Republican-majority county? Have you been asking yourself “what can I do to help restore safeguards for our rights, preserve justice and support our communities?”
YOU CAN LEARN ABOUT DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES WHO ARE RUNNING FOR THESE SEATS.
YOU CAN SIGN PETITIONS TO ENSURE THAT DEMOCRATS ARE ON THE BALLOTS!
YOU CAN MEET OTHER DEMOCRATS FROM THIS COUNTY, DISCUSS YOUR CONCERNS, EXPRESS YOUR OPINIONS AND GET SOME SUPPORT FOR YOUR VALUES TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS UNDER THE CONSTITUTION!
315 653-7811 if you have questions or want to sign and can’t make it on the 7th.
