Congratulations to our friends at CW Mechanical & Plumbing on your groundbreaking ceremony Monday, June 3rd! 🎉 We are thankful and honored to have been a part of your growth and success! Here's a snippet from the article linked below on owner Joshua Ott's new facility:

"This project will result in the construction of an 11,250-square foot facility. Ott said once his company moves into the new facility, possibly as early as December of this year, he plans to bid on more projects and add to his workforce.

Ott's journey to becoming a small business owner took him from Michigan to Ohio to Iraq and then to far-flung places such as Alaska and the South Pole before returning to Ohio and settling in Norwalk.

His company will mark its fifth anniversary this month. The original name was CrazeWeld — and that remains the name of the parent company — but as business grew, Ott saw the need to rebrand and expand.

Mechanical, welding, pipefitting and plumbing services are provided under the name CW Mechanical & Plumbing, and custom tooling for the oil and gas industry has been rebranded as SafePurge."

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FROM MAYOR DAVID W. LIGHT
May 30, 2024

Memorial Day is the “unofficial” start of Summer, which means it is time to plan for Norwalk’s 4th of July.

The July 4th festivities kick off with the Mapletree Road Race at 8 a.m. at the Huron County Fairgrounds. The race will head north on Norwood Avenue to the Courthouse and then return back to the finish line at the Fairgrounds. The Lion’s Club will host the 4th of July parade beginning at 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at Main Street School and will head west on Main Street, south on Benedict onto Norwood Avenue and will end at the Fairgrounds.

At least $15,000 needs to be raised to secure a fireworks display package. Year after year, Norwalk’s civic organizations, top-notch businesses and residents have continued to come forward to fund the fireworks and celebrate our country’s independence. Fundraising efforts are now underway for this year’s display.

Mayor Light said “The Norwalk Area Visitor’s Bureau will head up the fundraising campaign for the fireworks this year. The support of local businesses and organizations will help make the 4th of July celebration an unforgettable experience for all. Please consider donating and show your support for this cherished tradition. Every dollar counts!”

Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the Norwalk Area Visitor’s Bureau, 12 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk. ALL Checks Payable to: VFW Post 2743.
