🎵 You’re invited to our last Songs of Resistance gathering before we pause for the summer! 🎶

Join us for an evening of music, connection, and collective voice as we come together one more time this season.

🗓 Thursday, May 21
🕢 7:30–8:30 PM
📍 First Congregational Church of Norwalk – Parish Hall
(Entrance on Lewis St.)
3 Lewis Street, Norwalk

📣 This event is co-hosted by Good Trouble/Indivisible Norwalk and the First Congregational Church of Norwalk () and featuring Stamford-based song leaders.

This space has been about more than singing. It’s been about showing up, being together, and remembering that we’re not alone in what we care about.

We’ll take a break over the summer, and in the fall we’ll check back in with the community about what comes next. For now, this is our last gathering—so come if you’ve been meaning to, or come back if you’ve joined us before!

All voices welcome. 🫶🏽🎼🎹

✊🏽 May Day has always been about workers demanding dignity, fair conditions, and real power in the economy.

This year’s theme is clear: Workers Over Billionaires. Across the country, workers, students, and families are rallying, marching, and taking action on May 1, 2026.

🚫 Many are also refusing business as usual (NO WORK, NO SHOPPING) as a way to make visible how much everyday life depends on labor that is too often undervalued.

💪🏽 We’re showing up in Norwalk because economic consequences are local: who is stretched thin, who is priced out, and who is expected to absorb more without protection or recognition.

📣 Come join us May 1st! We will start on the lawn in front of Norwalk City Hall on the corner of East Avenue and Sunset Hill. We’ll kick the event off with a speaker from Good Trouble/Indivisible Norwalk and then march together to the Exit 16 bridge just a few blocks up East Avenue for sign and flag waving. Feel free to bring your own signs, banners or flags.

Right now, you might be feeling the urgency to show up, speak out, and take action. That energy matters, and what we do with it matters even more.

✊🏽 Nonviolent engagement is not passive. It is strategic, grounded, and powerful. It protects people while building momentum. It keeps movements sustainable instead of reactive. And in moments like this, when our democracy is facing multiple threats, nonviolent action is essential.

📣 This training is an opportunity to learn how to channel your voice and your presence in ways that are effective, steady, and aligned with the values of our movement. Whether you’re brand new or have been showing up for years, this space is about sharpening skills, deepening understanding, and building community around thoughtful action.

☮️ If you’ve been wondering how to engage without burning out, escalating, or losing yourself in the noise, this is for you.

⭐️ Registration will be limited to the first 65 people, so sign up today— link in bio! 🔗
