Did you know?

✔️ You can ask someone you trust for help completing your voter registration application.
✔️ You may register online using accessible text-to-speech tools.
✔️ You can visit the Registrar of Voters Office at City Hall, Room 103, for assistance.
✔️ You may sign with an “X” if needed.
✔️ All polling locations in Norwalk are ADA accessible.
✔️ Curbside voting is available at every polling location.
✔️ An Independent Voting System (IVS) machine is available at every polling location, allowing voters to mark their ballot privately and independently.

Today, June 14, we celebrate Flag Day and honor the adoption of the United States Flag in 1777. Our flag is a symbol of freedom, unity, opportunity, and the enduring values that bring Americans together.

As we commemorate America’s 250th Anniversary, we invite you to stop by City Hall, Room 103, Monday through Friday 8am-4pm between now and July 4th to receive a complimentary America 250 Celebration Flag.

While you’re here, take a moment to sign the America 250 Norwalk Archive Book and become part of Norwalk’s history. Share a thought, memory, or reflection about what America means to you as we celebrate this historic milestone together.

You can also check out our America 250 décor in the Atrium and snap a photo to share your patriotic spirit with family and friends.

Fortunately for Knicks fans like ROOM 103, there will be no recount… what a thrilling Knicks victory!

A few Connecticut election facts: Voter Education
✅ Connecticut has post-election audit requirements to help verify election accuracy.
✅ A recount is generally triggered when the margin of victory falls within certain statutory thresholds, depending on the office and circumstances.
✅ Election officials carefully reconcile ballots, tabulator totals, absentee ballots, and other records before results are certified.
✅ Accuracy, transparency, and public confidence are at the heart of Connecticut’s election process.

Get Ready, Norwalk!
The Norwalk Registrar of Voters Office has confirmed there will be a 2026 Primary.
We have laid out all the dates for the 2026 Election Cycle so voters can plan ahead-see image.

PRIMARY
Early Voting: August 3-9
Primary Day: August 11 at your polling location

GENERAL STATE ELECTION
Early Voting: October 19-November 1
Election Day: November 3 at your polling location
All Early Voting will take place at Norwalk City Hall.

Please remember to always check your polling location before Election Day. If any polling location changes are made, our office will communicate those updates clearly and directly.
If your polling location is changed, you will receive a letter via mail from our office as the Election nears.

Election Key Date Alert – Today is the Deadline! 📢

Today, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., is the deadline for candidates to file primary petitions to challenge a party-endorsed candidate and qualify for Connecticut’s August 11, 2026 Primary Election. Candidates seeking ballot access through the petition process must submit their completed petitions by the statutory deadline.

Whether you’re a voter, candidate, poll worker, or simply interested in the electoral process, staying informed about Connecticut’s election calendar is one of the best ways to ensure you never miss an important deadline.

The Registrar of Voters Office was focused today as we continued preparing for any Primary Petition Filings that may come in before tomorrows Deadline!

A reminder to all candidates and campaign representatives that all primary petitions must be submitted no later than 4:00 PM tomorrow, June 9, 2026. Petitions received after the deadline cannot be accepted.

Our office will be open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM as always and staff will be available throughout the day June 9, 2026 to answer questions and provide petition assistance.

As we prepare for the upcoming August 11, 2026 Primary, we also want to remind voters about Connecticut’s party affiliation rules:

✅ If you are currently registered as Unaffiliated, you may enroll in a major political party and become eligible to vote in that party’s primary, provided you do so the day before the primary.

❌ If you are already registered with a political party, you cannot switch to another party in time to vote in the August 11, 2026 Primary. Connecticut law required that change by May 11, 2026. That deadline has now passed.

The office was certainly buzzing today—not just about petition deadlines and voter registration but also about the big game tonight! 🏀

Whether you’re cheering for the Knicks or the Spurs, remember:
