The District is currently experiencing an issue with water discoloration that is actively being addressed. This discoloration is caused by the disturbance of naturally occurring minerals (Iron and Manganese) that have settled in the water mains. The water does not pose a health risk.

Customers in the area may be experiencing discolored water. If the water is discolored, try running a cold water faucet for 5 to 10 minutes to clear out the internal plumbing. Flush your toilets 2 or 3 times. On Monday, First Taxing District staff handed out notices for a water shutoff on Valley Road from the Treatment Plant to Grupes Dam. Unfortunately, we had some difficulties preparing for the shutoff and have to postpone until a further date.
