👮🏻‍♂️Partnering to Support Our Business Community🏣
The City of Norwalk Department of Public Safety works closely with local businesses to address homelessness-related challenges that may affect their properties, employees, and customers.
Through a coordinated approach, our Homeless Operation Prevention and Engagement Team (HOPE) partners with the City’s Social Services Department, Housing Liaison, and community service providers to connect individuals experiencing homelessness with housing assistance, shelter referrals, behavioral health services, and other available resources.
Businesses are encouraged to report concerns promptly so the City can assess the situation, coordinate the appropriate response, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout Norwalk.

The City of Norwalk Public Safety Department’s Code Compliance Division is reponsible for conducting business license inspections before final approval of issuing business licenses here in Norwalk.
