The Norwalk Senior Center is supported by the City of Norwalk, the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County, the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging and by over 2,000 members. The Hochheimer Memorial Scholarship Fund:
The Hochheimer Memorial Scholarship Fund, in memory of the Center's Founding Directors Lawrence and Irene Hochheimer, provides full and partial scholarships to any Norwalk resident in need of financial assistance to participate in any Center program or activity.

Norwalk Senior Center to Host Community Pickleball Tournament "FUN"draiser Benefiting Local Senior Programs

The Norwalk Senior Center will host its 2026 Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, September 12, 2026, inviting intermediate-level pickleball players age 50 and older to enjoy a day of friendly competition while supporting programs and services for local seniors.

The tournament will feature randomly assigned two-player teams, giving participants an opportunity to meet new players and enjoy balanced, recreational competition in a welcoming atmosphere.

Early registration is $35 per player through September 1. Registration after September 1 is $50 per player.

Players may register online at https://www.norwalkseniors.org/pickleball-tournament or by scanning the QR code on tournament promotional materials.
Community members who are unable to play can still support the Norwalk Senior Center by making a $15 donation, which includes a commemorative tournament T-shirt while supplies last. Donations may also be made through the tournament registration page. Proceeds from the event will help support the Senior Center's ongoing programs and activities for older adults throughout the Norwalk community.
"The tournament is a wonderful opportunity to combine fitness, friendship, and community service," organizers said. "Whether you're playing or donating, every participant helps strengthen the programs that make the Norwalk Senior Center such an important resource for local seniors."
The Norwalk Senior Center, a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, continues to expand recreational, educational, health, and social opportunities for older adults in the Greater Norwalk area.
