🎓🐾 5th Grade Graduation Celebration! 🐾🎓

This morning, we proudly celebrated our amazing 5th graders as they reached an important milestone and prepared for their next adventure. We are so proud of all they have accomplished, the friendships they have built, and the memories they have made along the way.

As they leave Tracey, we know they will continue to learn, grow, and make a positive impact wherever they go. Remember: once a Cub, always a Cub!

🌟 Our amazing 4th graders proudly shared their Portrait of the Graduate portfolios! 🌟

Through thoughtful reflection, students explored what it means to be a Critical Thinker and Effective Communicator. Their portfolios highlighted their unique strengths, accomplishments, goals, and the qualities that make each student shine.

We are so proud of the confidence, growth, and self-awareness they demonstrated as they shared their journeys and celebrated who they are becoming.

🐾 Cub Connections in Action! 🐾

Our Cubs had a wonderful time connecting, collaborating, and building relationships during Cub Connections!

Cub Connections creates a space where students can get to know peers and adults they may not interact with regularly, strengthening our school community and fostering a sense of belonging. Most importantly, these experiences help ensure that every Cub has multiple trusted adults and fellow Cubs they can turn to for support, encouragement, and friendship.

We are proud to see our Cubs growing together and creating connections that make our school stronger every day! 💙🐻

Tracey Cubs released their baby trout today into the Silvermine River with the help of Mr. Sincerbeaux, Mrs . Rubush and Mrs. Dennis as well as the Mianus Trout Chapter! Great job first grade on your service learning project! We are so proud of you all for leaving your PRINT on the world! 🐟️ 🐾 💙

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Scarlett Tiani and her amazing journey from a 5th-grade Invention Convention project at Tracey Magnet School to the national stage!

What began in Mrs. Santaniello’s GT classroom grew into an extraordinary achievement, advancing through the school showcase and Connecticut State Competition to earn Scarlett a spot at Invention Convention U.S. Nationals. Out of more than 305,000 student participants nationwide, only 513 qualified for Nationals, and Scarlett was one of just 4 students from Norwalk to earn that honor! 🎉👏✨

Tail Wag Warning is an innovative pet safety system designed to help keep dogs, delivery drivers, first responders, and the community safe. The system combines a customizable mailbox magnet with key pet information and a QR code for additional details, along with a smart warning light that alerts others when a dog is outside. Together, these tools provide quick access to important pet information and help prevent unexpected encounters.

Scarlett was named the National Animal Care & Pets Award Winner (K–12) and was one of just 5 inventors nationwide to receive a Wilmer Hale award supporting a patent application for her invention. Her achievement is a powerful example of what creativity, curiosity, and determination can accomplish. We’re proud to call her a Tracey Cub alum and can’t wait to see what she invents next. Last Thursday we welcomed back some of our former Cubs, now 6th graders at West Rocks. They joined us for our Grade 5 PRINT Night. They even brought along some of their 6th grader teachers! Students and West Rocks staff shared what to expect in middle school, what success can look like and the importance of friendships and teacher relationships. West Rocks Middle School

Eli, Ayla, and Cora proudly completed 3rd Grade’s Service Learning Project by presenting a donation of $216.30 to Gerry at PAWS in Norwalk. As part of the project, the 3rd grade students worked with Mrs. Rubush to organize a successful can and bottle drive.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the families who contributed and helped make this project such a success. Upon receiving the donation, Gerry exclaimed, “Wow! That can buy a lot of food and litter for our animals!”
The students are proud to know their hard work will help care for the animals at PAWS. 🐾
