It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our friend and coworker, Sergeant William Hubbard.

Sgt. Hubbard began his career with the Huron County Sheriff’s Office on February 9, 1998, and for more than two decades he served as a Correctional Officer with dedication, professionalism, and pride. Bill was a steady and trusted presence within the facility — someone others could count on during challenging moments and long days.

He led by example, treated everyone with respect, and cared deeply about the people he worked alongside. Bill had a quiet way of making things better simply by being there, whether through guidance, reassurance, or a moment of humor when it was needed most. His impact on this office and on our corrections family will not be forgotten.

Beyond the job, Bill was a friend. His passing leaves a profound void in our workplace and in the lives of those who knew him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sgt. Hubbard’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Information regarding services and memorial arrangements will be shared as it becomes available.

Rest easy, Bill. Thank you for your years of service, your dedication, and your friendship. You will always be remembered.

Thank you to All Veterans for your service.
