Motor Transportation (MOS 3521-3531)

This job handles operations and maintenance for the military branch. Since the job duties have to do with transportation, it helps to have a good driving record. You can also benefit from working on mechanical systems in the past or having some higher education related to the field of work.

In order to qualify for this MOS, Marines need a mechanical maintenance (MM) score of 95 or higher on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), and will likely need to complete the motor transport career course at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, at their commanding officer's discretion.

Marines are always taught to lead and to take control of ANY situation. Here is a prime example of a Marine who took action and who take care of those in danger. ⠀

⁣On the night of September 25, 2020, Lance Corporal David came upon the scene of a vehicle collision where a tractor trailer struck a truck along Kinston Highway in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She immediately took charge of the scene, directed bystanders to call 911, and was able to triage and extract a toddler from the backseat of the vehicle.⠀
