𝗥𝗔𝗪 𝗦𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗟𝗟 – 𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗗 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗞 & 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗔 𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗘

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI – Public Health – Muskegon County and the City of Norton Shores have issued an emergency public health warning following the release of up to 87,400 gallons of raw sewage near Airline Road and Getty Street, due to a valve failure at a sanitary sewer pumping station.

✅ IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED:
Do NOT enter, fish, or allow pets in Little Black Creek or Mona Lake.
This warning is in effect for the next 48 hours.
The Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center (MCRRC) has isolated the failure and is working to complete repairs. This warning is a precautionary measure to protect public health.
