The Northwoods Police Department strives to provide the highest level of professional law enforcement of service to it's citizens. Therefore, the Department is fully committed:
A. To hiring the best qualified officers and employees;
B. To Providing extensive and continuous training to all personnel, enabling employees to achieve successful job performance;
C. To creating an infrastructure in which employee communication will flow regularly on both vertical and horizontal levels in order to facilitate the goals of problem-solving policing;
D. To promoting trust, mutual respect, and genuine concern for each employee, endeavoring to build the same community spirit within the Department as we endeavor to build with citizens in the community;
E. To encouraging employee autonomy, creativity and innovation in matters hat directly impact their job performance;
F. To managing all human resources efficiently and responsibly; and
G. To maintaining the values and standards we espouse both on and off duty.
This General Order supersedes all prior directives and orders inconsistent therewith.
