🌟Last week we celebrated Soil and Water Conservation Week!🌟

This year’s theme, Soil. Where it All begins; is such a fitting theme for Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the work we do on a daily basis to protect and enhance this incredible resource we have here in Iowa!

🌲The Worth County Soil and Water Conservation District purchased White Pine trees for all 2nd graders in Worth County.🌲
Erik Butler with NRCS gave a short presentation about White Pine trees as well as how to plant and care for the tree going forward.

The district also dispersed trees from our annual tree sale.
A special thank you to the Worth County SWCD commissioners for unloading/sorting, as well as Worth County Conservation Board for partnering with us for tree pick-up at Schumacher's Nursery. We greatly appreciate your help!

We can't wait to celebrate conservation week again next year! 🎉
