Brothers, sisters, friends, family…

We are humbly coming to you to ask for some support. Recently longtime Firefighter Ray Beckman was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His prognosis for the future is good, however he still has a battle on his hands. Ray is going to be off work for an extended period of time, while recovering and recouping. He has already went through surgery and is recovering.

If you don’t know Ray, he is almost to 40 years of service to Northwood Fire, as well as 30 years to other EMS agencies. Ray likes to be on the move and is constantly trying to do something. So sitting at home is not going to be his favorite part.

We, the fire department, are coming together to support and help with his recovery. If you would like to contribute info is on the flier. If you need to Venmo please comment in this post and we will get with you to get your ticket (last four of phone will be 9090). Raffle prize breakdown is in the comments.

***IF VENMOING PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER WHEN YOU VENMO SO WE CAN PUT IT ON YOUR TICKET****

Any questions email [email protected] or [email protected].

As always THANK YOU

This past weekend we held our annual Reverse Raffle. A lot of fun was had and lots of winnings were passed out. Along with “smaller” prizes, this years big winner was UA Local 50! Eric is seen here with Association President Jeremy Beckman and Treasurer Blaine Bryant.

Local 50 has supported us tremendously over the years and we are forever grateful! Local 50 purchased some tickets and then dispersed them to their members via a raffle type drawing themselves. Thank you all for your help, and support!

Also pictured is a donated wagon to Local 50 from the association.

Congrats!

Still have tickets available for tomorrow’s event!! Contact any firefighter to get yours!

❤️ Honored to Support Toledo Strong

Over the past few days, our Rossford and Summit branches proudly participated in Toledo Strong, a local nonprofit founded in 2014 in honor of fallen firefighters Stephen Machcinski and James Dickman. Each year on January 26th, volunteers come together to provide meals and essential supplies to first responders — a mission that beautifully reflects Directions’ commitment to People Helping People.

This year, our teams delivered donuts in the morning from Haas Bakery and provided dinner from Spaghetti Warehouse Toledo. We’re grateful to both local businesses for being so flexible and supportive during weather‑related schedule changes.

🚒 Rossford Branch → Northwood Fire Station
Thank you to Jackie, Taylor, Christina, and Bev for delivering with care and community spirit.

🚒 Summit Branch → Toledo Fire Station 24 (Point Place)
A big shoutout to Donna and Miranda for representing Directions with heart.

We’re proud to honor Stephen, James, and all first responders who serve our communities with courage every day. ❤️🤍💙
