Front Street Road Closed

Front Street in Northumberland is closed until further notice from Prince St.  to Hanover St. Due to an accident. We will repost when Fromt St. is open again.

The Northumberland Police Department will be holding its 26th Annual Soap Box Derby Race on Saturday, June 27th, 2026. The race location is the 400 block of King Street. This is a “non-sanctioned, fun” race using official soap box derby cars. The cars are provided for participants and were purchased by the Northumberland Police Department, Pineknotter Days Association, and area businesses. Each racer will receive a race day t-shirt for participation. There is a $1 cost for participation. Waivers are available here, on the Borough's website, and in the Borough Office.
