Borough and township units were dispatched this morning at 05:25 to the area of 503 front street for a reported MVA involving a tractor trailer and multiple cars. Borough chiefs arrived on scene and found that a tractor trailer struck 2 power poles and multiple parked cars. Unit quickly secured the scene and assisted tow crew with clean up. Roadway was shut down for a extended time. Units were on scene for roughly 3 hrs.

This evening members took to the streets and cleared snow from around fire hydrants in the borough. We would like to give a big shout out to the residents who cleared 90% of the hydrants in the borough. From the Northumberland Fire Department we greatly thank you!!!
