Our fundraising efforts were a success! Although not everyone won a ham, you are all winners in our book.
The number of people we had in attendance exemplifies the community spirit and support towards our fire departments efforts of fundraising towards the purchase of new equipment and training.
We would also like to recognize those that could not be there but wanted to donate. We received donations from the Koeritz Family and Tammy Becker from On-Site Massage Therapy.
All of our prizes came from Fareway Stores of Fairmont. They have been very good to us over the years and we want to recognize that.
A special thanks to BEER 30 of Northrop for hosting our fundraiser.

After 31 amazing years, Bart Johnson has answered his final tone.

Bart, your dedication to the Northrop Fire Department and the community of Northrop has been nothing short of heroic. We are going to miss your experience and your humor around the stationhouse. Enjoy every minute of your retirement!

In honor of Bart's legacy, we are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us keep our community safe. No experience necessary—we provide the training.

City of Northrop Info for those brave trick or treaters, Northrop Fire Dept is at the post office with several bags of candy on hand.

Cleaning out the can coral this weekend. There is room for more cans. If you bring a bag of ONLY aluminum cans this weekend, please place them directly on the trailer next to the can coral.

If your wanting us to sort through your recyclables, place your bag in the coral. (The recycling center no longer takes aluminum foil or any other form of aluminum besides beverage cans, so we have to go through your bags and remove non-cans, glass, plastic, cardboard, etc.)

That was a close one!
Good news, your hearing is fine. Bad news, our siren did not sound this evening. That is serious. We are in contact with a technician to come out and look at it hopefully tomorrow. Stay vigilant and be ready to hear random siren sounds tomorrow as we test the system. For precaution, we do urge everyone in the area to sign up for the Martin County Code Red if you haven't already. Come join us outside BEER 30 of Northrop this afternoon for FREE food (burgers, brats, etc) and entertainment. Brought to you by your local fire dept to celebrate Northrop Quasquicentennial Celebration .

Music starts at 4, food will be available from 5 to 7. Cake cutting at 6pm.

We would like to thank everyone who made our Turkey Bingo event last night, a big success. We are thrilled with the support that we received. We also want to thank BEER 30 of Northrop for hosting the event. Without them, it wouldn't be possible. THANK YOU everyone!

Our fire prevention program is next Tuesday, October 10th. Encourage your kids to harness their artistic skills, in combination with a valuable fire safety message.
