Had a great visit with Nina at Channing Daughters in Bridgehampton. Their award-winning wines and decades of family dedication are part of what makes the East End so special.

Small businesses, vineyards, and family-owned operations are facing rising costs, high taxes, and growing challenges. That's why I'm fighting for meaningful SALT relief and policies that help Long Island businesses thrive.

Thank you, Nina, for the tour and for everything you do to preserve the traditions, jobs, and local character that make the East End home. This is exactly what we're fighting for.

Clean water is not a luxury. It's essential to our health, environment, and economy.

From harmful algae blooms to aging septic systems, East End waterways are facing serious challenges that impact our bays, fisheries, beaches, and quality of life. We need real solutions that protect our environment while investing in the infrastructure our communities deserve.

As your Congressman, I'll fight to bring federal resources to Suffolk County to improve wastewater infrastructure, protect our aquifers, and preserve the East End for future generations.

This Pride Month, I'm sharing a piece of my story.

As I play "My Heart Will Go On" on the piano, one of my favorite songs, I reflect on the journey that made me who I am today.

When I was 14 or 15, I came out as gay. A few weeks after telling a friend, I sat down with my parents and did one of the hardest things I've ever done. I told them who I was. While acceptance took time, I was fortunate to have parents who loved and supported me through that journey.

I later joined the military during Don't Ask, Don't Tell, serving my country while knowing I couldn't fully be myself. When that policy was repealed in 2011, I was finally able to serve openly. I learned that authenticity isn't a weakness. It's a strength.

The biggest lesson I've learned is that before the world can accept you, you have to accept yourself. Once I stopped hiding who I was, everything changed.

Pride is about courage, authenticity, and living your truth, even when it's difficult. To anyone still finding their voice, know that you are worthy exactly as you are.

Happy Pride Month. 🌈

One issue comes up again and again when I talk to Democrats, Independents, and even Republicans across Long Island: corruption.

People are tired of watching politicians get rich while working families struggle to afford groceries, housing, healthcare, and everyday necessities. Congress has one of the lowest approval ratings in the country because too many Americans feel like their voices are no longer being heard.

That's why I've taken the pledge with End Citizens United. I believe elected officials should work for the people, not corporate PACs, special interests, or wealthy donors.

We need transparency, accountability, and leaders who put their constituents first. Washington shouldn't be a place where politicians profit. It should be a place where public servants deliver results.

I'm running for Congress because Long Islanders deserve representation they can trust.

It was an honor to spend time with Hamptons homeowners and hear directly about the challenges families are facing every day.

One conversation really stuck with me. Before my last deployment, $100 could fill an entire shopping cart. When I came home, I experienced the same sticker shock so many Long Islanders are feeling today. Now, $100 barely fills a shopping bag.

Families are being squeezed by rising costs, high gas prices, and an economy that simply isn’t working for working people. At the same time, our communities need real investment in infrastructure, public safety, and the resources that keep Long Island moving forward.

One resident said something that stuck with me: “You’re a local guy, you’re a real guy, and you’re the real deal...”

I don’t take words like that lightly. This campaign is about restoring trust, putting people first, and making sure Long Islanders finally have a representative who shows up, listens, and fights for them.

It’s time for change, and together we’re going to make it happen.
