The mission of The Smithtown Senior Citizens Department is to facilitate the social, emotional, and physical well-being for independent senior citizens within the Township of Smithtown. The quality of life for seniors is greatly improved by providing services, activities and access to community resources that maintain senior citizen independence and wellness.

Our hope is that our Senior Center will be filled with many happy hours, cultivating new interests, fond memories, and new friendships. The Center is open to Smithtown residents 60 years of age and older. Hours of operation are as follows:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

NOTE:Summer Hours, July 1 through August 31, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

The Smithtown Senior Department had a wonderful trip out East yesterday. They began their day with wine tasting at Pindar Vineyards and then it was followed by a delicious lunch at Ruggeros in Wading River. The seniors then also shopped at the beautiful outdoor shoppes at East Wind and some of them rode the carousel where Ruggeros is located. A great day was had by our Seniors.

What a wonderful afternoon! Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our Spring Luncheon at Flowerfield of Saint James. The food was delicious and the live entertainment made it a truly memorable day. A big thank you to the staff at Flowerfield and the Smithtown Senior Citizens Department for a beautiful event!

The Smithtown Seniors had a wonderful trip to the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay yesterday. The seniors were given a guided tour of the mansion and then were able to
walk in the beautiful gardens. After the tour, the seniors enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Harbor Mist Restaurant in Cold Spring Harbor. The seniors had an incredible day! A wonderful time was had by our Seniors ❤️
