The mission of The Smithtown Senior Citizens Department is to facilitate the social, emotional, and physical well-being for independent senior citizens within the Township of Smithtown. The quality of life for seniors is greatly improved by providing services, activities and access to community resources that maintain senior citizen independence and wellness.

Our hope is that our Senior Center will be filled with many happy hours, cultivating new interests, fond memories, and new friendships. The Center is open to Smithtown residents 60 years of age and older. Hours of operation are as follows:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

NOTE:Summer Hours, July 1 through August 31, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

The Smithtown Senior Dept had an amazing local trip to the Secret Garden Tea Room in Port Jefferson this week. The place is so lovely. Every senior received a beautiful rose and were served a traditional English Tea. The seniors also wore the beautuful hats that the Secret Garden has during the tea, to make it even more festive. A lovely afternoon was had by our seniors☕️🌹💐🫖🌸🌺🌷💕🥰

The Smithtown Senior Department had an amazing trip this past Wednesday. The Seniors started their day by taking a narrated boat ride from Captree State park around the south shore and fire island. The name of the boat was the Moon chaser. After going on the boat ride, the seniors enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Snapper Inn in Oakdale. The views were gorgeous from the boat ride and also from the Snapper inn restaurant which is right on the water. The weather was picture perfect for this day spent on the water. An incredible time was had by our Seniors!⛴️☀️🌞
