We’re excited to announce the dates for our fire company hayride fundraiser. October 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th. We’re keeping the pricing the same as last year. Ages 13+ is $12 and 12 and under is $8 dollars, 2 and under is free. We’re going to have some great additions to this year’s Hayride such as Ninja turtles, Super Hero’s and you mite even see some friendly ghosts. We could use some help carving some foam pumpkins. A follow up post will give details on the pumpkin carving competition. We can’t wait to see everyone in October!

We responded to the scene with Engine 65. Once on location Command requested that our crew assist with aerial operations and exterior hose line operations.

This afternoon Car 60 & Engine 65 responded mutual aid to the City of Pleasantville for a working structure fire. Personnel operated on scene and were released by command without incident. We appreciate our dedicated members both volunteer and career for continuing to answer the call of service for our residents and neighbors.

Our Hearts go out to Communicator Bartell’s family and Co-Workers. Dispatchers are the life line for first responders and the community answering the calls for help.

It is with a heavy heart that we sadly announce the untimely passing of one of our own, Candis Bartell. Candis had been a Communications Officer with our agency since 2019. Previously she served with the Pleasantville Police Department's Communications Center. The void left behind by her passing is palpable for all that got to know, adore, and work alongside her. Candis was sweet, caring, and full of moxie. Candis proudly dedicated her heart and soul to the citizens of Egg Harbor Township, Pleasantville, Northfield, Linwood, Longport, and Somers Point, whether she was on or off duty. Candis will be deeply missed, but her compassion and benevolence will carry on through her co-workers, family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Engine 67 visited Purple Crayon Early Learning Center today for a fire safety demonstration with one of our member's child's class.

Throughout the year, our members participate in many school and community demonstrations, teaching children about fire safety and helping them become more comfortable around firefighters and fire apparatus. Today was especially meaningful, as we had the opportunity to share that experience with one of our own member's child and classmates.

Thank you to the students and staff at Purple Crayon Early Learning Center for the warm welcome. We always enjoy spending time with our community and helping the next generation learn about fire safety.

**🚨 Community Alert 🚨**

Fire Works display Residents may notice increased noise, bright flashes, and emergency apparatus in the area tonight.

Fireworks are scheduled for approximately **9:00 PM** at the Atlantic City Country Club. Members of the Northfield Fire Department will be on scene providing fire protection standby during the display.

There is no cause for alarm if you hear fireworks or see emergency vehicles in the area. We hope everyone enjoys a safe evening!

Members will be out today for our annual Coin Drop at the Five Points intersection.

Throughout the year, our members participate in several fundraisers to help keep the company operating. Donations help support station maintenance and upkeep, utilities, training and training center improvements, uniforms, our annual Fourth of July complimentary hot dog giveaway, and many other expenses associated with operating a volunteer fire company.

If you're traveling through the intersection, we hope you'll consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter the amount, directly supports the Northfield Volunteer Fire Company and helps us continue serving and protecting our community.
