New Trier School Board Caucus The New Trier School Board Caucus was established by a nonpartisan political organization in 1954.

We are a non-partisan group of 47 volunteer delegates (plus 2 student delegates) from all of New Trier's sender districts that interviews, vets and endorses candidates for the New Trier School Board. Our sole purpose is to vet and slate candidates to run for open seats on the New Trier Board of Education.

Volunteer as a 2026 Caucus Delegate and help vet, interview, and slate candidates for the New Trier Board of Education.
The Caucus is open to all D36 residents you do not need to have a current student at New Trier High School.
This is a nonpartisan volunteer opportunity and a great way to serve the community, learn more about the candidate selection process, and connect with fellow residents.
📅 Meetings are held Wednesday evenings this fall at the New Trier Northfield Campus.

The New Trier School Board Caucus is pleased to announce the launch of the application process for the 2027 Board of Education election.
Community members interested in serving on the New Trier High School Board of Education are invited to apply for one of four vacancies that will be on the April 2027 ballot:
Three (3) four-year terms
One (1) two-year term

If you are committed to the continued excellence of New Trier High School and would like to be considered for the Caucus endorsement, we encourage you to submit an application.
