Highlighting Local Businesses in Northfield Center Township

Northfield Center Township’s Program Manager joined Caitlin Smith from the Summit County Executive’s Department of Community & Economic Development for a local “Business Walk” throughout Northfield Center Township.

The purpose of the Business Walk was to connect directly with local business owners, learn more about how business is going, and share helpful resources and information available through Summit County and the Township. Supporting local businesses is an important part of maintaining a strong and vibrant community, and the Business Walk provided a great opportunity to strengthen those connections.

Open House & Touch-A-Truck on June 13th!

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at the Northfield Center Township Annual Open House & Touch-A-Truck Event on Saturday, June 13, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Northfield Center Township Offices, located at 8484 Olde Eight Road.

This family-friendly event gives residents the opportunity to explore township vehicles up close and meet the dedicated departments that help serve our community every day.

Memorial Day Parade & Palmer Museum Open House!

Residents are invited to join the community in honoring and remembering the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country during this year’s Memorial Day events hosted by VFW Post 6768 & Auxiliary

The Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 25 at 10:00 AM. The parade route will begin at St. Barnabas and continue to Northfield Macedonia Cemetery.

Northfield Center Township has a great relationship with the City of Macedonia Ohio as their Fire Department covers our township.

A huge thank you to all of the EMS crews for their commitment to Northfield Center Township residents. Thank you to Macedonia Professional Firefighters Local 3947 for all you do every day for us and our communities!

This National EMS Week, the City of Macedonia proudly recognizes our dedicated EMS crew for their commitment to keeping our community safe.

The majority of calls to our Fire Department are EMS-related, and our paramedics and EMTs are there every day providing critical care and responding when our residents need them most.

Thank you for answering the call and making a difference throughout our community. We appreciate all you do for Macedonia! 🚑💙

Progress continues on the Bayberry Rd reconstruction and drainage project, made possible in large part thanks to a $500,000 grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC). This funding helps improve our roads and manage stormwater—without putting additional strain on local taxes.
Here’s what’s happening:
✅ Road Improvements: Bayberry Rd has been rebuilt, creating a smoother, safer drive for everyone.
✅ Better Drainage: New drainage systems are being installed to reduce flooding and protect homes and yards from stormwater runoff.
