Next week is your chance to clear the clutter- for free! Clear out those old papers from your desk drawers and make room for more! NTRD's free paper shredding event is Saturday, August 22nd at the NFT Road District Garage, 237 Melvin Drive, Northbrook

Be sure to bring identification show you reside in Northfield Township. You can have up to 3 containers (Grocery bags or computer paper boxes) shredded. Please remove all paper clips, staples and binders. No junk mail or business shredding available. See you there!

⚠️August 8th Stormwater Project update. These long-term stormwater improvements are designed to reduce flooding and standing water, improve drainage and better protect neighborhood streets and properties. Phase 1 of this $3 million project is well underway. Work should be completed by the end of August 2026.

⚠️Project update⚠️
Relief is on the way for Northbrook West. The Northfield Township Road District is currently working with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago on long-term stormwater improvements designed to reduce standing water, improve drainage and better protect neighborhood streets and properties. Phase 1 of this $3 million project is well underway with work happening near the intersection of Central and Garden streets. Work should be completed by the end of August 2026.

Phase 2 will expand on those improvements and could begin as early as 2027.
