Attention District 30 parents and guardians! Today, September 12, District 30 will test our emergency notification system in the afternoon. Anyone listed under your child’s primary and secondary contacts, as well as the email address used to login into Parent Portal, should receive a voice notification, text and email.

If you need to update your telephone number or email address, please visit the ParentPortal. (Go to the Forms section of and choose the option that says “Update Contact Information for District Communications.”)

Now is also a is a great time to review Emergency Procedures page for parents that outlines weather emergency protocols in District 30 at district30.org/emergency. When winter weather approaches, District 30 would utilize our emergency notification system to announce any school closures, while also posting on our website and social media channels.

Today our schools honored 🇺🇸 and Willowbrook's recognition included members of the Glenview Police Department, Glenview Fire Department, veteran staff and friends and family of our Willowbrook community who are first responders. Fire fighters served as honorary flag raisers during the Pledge and National Anthem, while student musicians performed "America the Beautiful," and all students performed the folk song "If I Had a Hammer." On the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, we share our gratitude and respect to our community heroes and all they do to serve our schools and residents!

Wescott 4th and 5th graders welcomed award-winning author Steve Sheinkin to discuss his latest book "Mind vs Machine" this week. 🖥 The graphic novel focuses on an epic, historical chess match between human player and a super computer, ultimately illuminating parallels between the match and our current age of AI. Thanks to Mrs. Janavicius and The Book Stall for bringing reading to life for our Wolves!
