Thank you seems entirely insufficient for the support given by the residents and hard work done by countless people both directly and indirectly with the passage of the levy (Issue 7) to maintain emergency medical services response, fire protection, and community risk reduction services for Colerain Township.

However, THANK YOU!!! is the most sincere form of gratitude that I can state for the support given and shown on November 3. We will work tirelessly and relentlessly as a mission focused and value driven organization to provide a level of service that is unparalleled. We are your department of fire and emergency medical services and we will make a difference in the lives of those we protect and serve as well as the Township as a whole. Thank you!

I have always considered myself blessed, for many reasons, to serve the residents and visitors of Colerain Township.

First, I grew up here and graduated from Colerain High School. This is my community. I didn’t join the fire service to give back to just any community. I joined THIS fire service organization to give back to THIS community.

Secondly, it’s an honor to serve in a community where so many of the residents care about the well-being of their fellow neighbors. I have always said that Colerain is too big to be small, yet too small to be big. However, there has always been a small, hometown feel to it. This makes Colerain so unique!

I consider the support of this levy an act of caring for one another, allowing Colerain Fire and EMS to continue to provide its valuable services to everyone in the community. Thank you, Colerain! We will always serve faithfully.

Fire fact:

Research shows that a fire can engulf a room and its modern furnishings—reaching over 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit—in as little as 3 minutes!!

With Issue 7, we will maintain our current levels of service. With 3 minutes on the line, how far away do you want a fire station located from your house?

Vote to keep all fire stations open. Vote for Colerain Fire and EMS Issue 7.

🤔🤔🤔
Why is it necessary to have this levy?

Revenue is fixed when a levy is approved. As a result of inflation, operational cost increase each year. This levy will allow the Department to maintain current fire protection, emergency medical, community risk reduction services.

How will services be impacted if the levy is not approved?

If the levy is not approved, the Township will be faced with a number of potential service changes and cuts:
• Fire station closures
• Reduction in staffing
• Decrease in community risk reduction programs and services, such as smoke detector and child car seat installations, CPR, and Stop the Bleed, etc.
• Increase in emergency response times as a result of fire station closures and reduced staffing.
• Increase in property insurance cost - our current ISO Class 1 provides the lowest possible property insurance cost on your home and your furnishings.

Fire fact:

At 8.3 lbs. for each gallon of water, just one fully-charged 50 ft. section of 2 1/2" fire hose can weigh approximately 125 lbs.

Imagine how heavy it is when it takes several hoses to reach the fire.

Side note: Never ever ever drive over a fire hose.
