💙 Feel Good Friday 💙

A couple of weekends ago, members of the Northbrook Police Department were proud to join our friends at Prospect Heights Police Department for the Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics Illinois.

Together, we carried the Flame of Hope through our communities in support of the incredible athletes of Special Olympics. It was a wonderful morning filled with teamwork, community spirit, and a shared commitment to a cause that inspires us all.

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on and supports Special Olympics Illinois throughout the year. We're honored to play a small part in helping these amazing athletes shine. 💙

Rain or shine, Therapy K9 Chloe takes her Farmers Market duties seriously. 🍉🐾

It was great to see so many people out supporting local vendors and enjoying everything that makes Northbrook such a special community.

On Friday, a concerned resident called when several ducklings became trapped in a storm sewer. CSO Mendoza responded, safely rescued the ducklings, and waited as the momma duck returned and the family reunited.

One of the best parts of community is seeing neighbors support neighbors.

A heartfelt thank you to the residents and staff at North Shore Place for taking the time to recognize and celebrate first responders. Gestures like these may seem small, but they mean more than you know.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve such a caring community, and we're reminded every day that public safety is truly a partnership.

Come flock with us from 5p-7p outside at the Village Hall (1225 Cedar) for food, fun, and community as we say hello to summer!

It’s almost time to flamingle! 🦩✨

Flamingo Friday is TODAY from 5–7 p.m. at Village Hall featuring music, food, giveaways, and a fun start to summer in Northbrook. Even though rain is in the forecast, have no fear as Flamingos prefer wet climates anyway! The festivities will be moved inside should there be inclement weather for a Flamazing Village Hall house party.

Be sure to stop by and meet Chloe, our K-9 therapy dog, who will be joining the fun! 🐶💙

Our annual Awards Ceremony provides an opportunity to recognize the outstanding work, dedication, and service demonstrated by members of our department and community.

This year, we honored officers, dispatchers, professional staff, and community members whose actions made a meaningful difference.

Public safety is a team effort, and we are grateful for everyone who helps make Northbrook a safer place to live, work, and visit.

The Northbrook Police Department's Junior Police Academy is back this summer!

⭐ July 6–10
⭐ Monday through Friday from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.
⭐ Ages 12–16
⭐ Northbrook Police Department (1401 Landwehr Rd.)

This interactive program gives students a behind-the-scenes look at real police work, including traffic stops, drones, evidence collection, and time with our K-9 team! 🐾

Registration is due by June 27, and spots are limited.
