A Message From Whitinsville Water Company
Mandatory Water Restriction

State of Massachusetts Mandatory Annual Water Restrictions

Until further notice, there will be mandatory restrictions on all non-essential outdoor water use from 9am to 5pm every day between May 1st and September 30th. This will be in effect every year. Further information is can be found at:

Water is a precious commodity which we all take for granted. We offer a number of tips and links for water conservation inside and outside.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible election workers who worked tirelessly throughout the long day — and through the heat — to keep everything running smoothly from open to close. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

Thank you as well to Plummer’s Place for once again stepping up to make sure anyone needing a ride to the polls had one, and thank you to every resident who came out to vote and make their voice heard.

Spotted Lanternfly Hatch - Invasive Insect

Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources has notified cities and towns with known infestations of the invasive insect known as spotted lanternfly, to inform them that spotted lanternfly egg masses have begun hatching in Massachusetts.

SLF egg mass hatch is expected to continue over the next few weeks, meaning that there is still time for anyone with unhatched egg masses on their property to scrape them off of surfaces and crush the eggs.
