Salsa in the Park Returns to Pulaski Park for Summer 2026

NORTHAMPTON — The City of Northampton’s Department of Arts and Culture is proud to announce the 2026 season of Salsa in the Park. This beloved community dance series returns to Pulaski Park, bringing world-class Latin music and open-air dancing to the heart of downtown.

The city will install a professional portable wooden dance floor over the park’s cafe section for each event. This addition ensures a smooth, safe, and high-quality surface for dancers of all levels to enjoy the rhythm without the challenge of uneven ground.

This year’s lineup features a dynamic schedule of performers and instructors, highlighted by:

August 1: A special performance by Dancenjoy featuring McCoy Jamison, bringing elite choreography and infectious energy to the park.

August 28: A massive double-bill featuring a set by the renowned DJ Bongohead followed by powerhouse headliners Cheo Y Los Consentidos.

September 5: A season-closing set by DJ Bongohead, ensuring the summer ends on a high note.

"Pulaski Park is the perfect setting for this kind of community energy," said Brian Foote, Director of Arts & Culture. "By bringing in a dedicated wooden floor to cover the cafe area, we’re making sure the park is truly transformed into a premier dance venue. From the choreography of Dancenjoy to the powerhouse sounds of Cheo Y Los Consentidos, we’ve curated a lineup that celebrates the very best of Latin music."
