Well, that’s not the first time a forecast has been a little off.

Not much rain in North Zulch. but at least the heat’s not so bad with the cloud cover.

We are under a flood watch for
The National weather service as the remnants of Tropical storm Edouard pass through southeast Texas.

Our area MAY be impacted by 3” or more of rain in the next day or two.

What that means for us up in North Zulch and surrounding areas? All the dry creeks and low crossings that normally flood in heavy rains may flood during this forecast event.

Avoid driving through moving water over the roadway. And stay safe.

Well. The good news is it’s going to rain Wednesday and Thursday. The not so great news is it’s due to Tropical storm Edouard.

Expect some wind with the possible rain. The biggest fire risk (believe it or not) is wind hitting places that don’t get rain. The Bastrop complex fire a decade ago was due to a tropical storm making landfall and the winds arcing power lines and causing a wind driven grass fire.
