šŸŽ‰ Training Highlights at the Woodstock Police Department šŸŽ‰

At the Woodstock Police Department, we believe ongoing training and professional growth are essential to delivering exceptional service to our community. We are proud to recognize several members of our team for recent accomplishments that strengthen our department and enhance our ability to serve the residents and visitors of Woodstock.

Congratulations to Officer Vale on successfully becoming a certified Field Training Officer (FTO). This certification will allow Officer Vale to play a vital role in mentoring and developing future officers, helping ensure that new members of our department receive quality guidance and support as they begin their careers.

We would also like to congratulate Sergeant Cass on graduating from the FBI-LEEDA Supervisor Leadership Institute (SLI). This nationally recognized program provides advanced leadership and supervisory development, helping prepare law enforcement leaders to meet the evolving challenges of public safety.

Finally, congratulations to Sergeant Tamulonis and K-9 Stella on graduating from the nine-week Narcotics Detection School hosted by the Hillsboro Police Department. Their dedication and hard work have resulted in a highly skilled K-9 team that will be a tremendous asset to our department and community.

In addition to these accomplishments, our officers and sergeants have participated in a variety of specialized courses throughout the year. These opportunities broaden their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and help ensure they are prepared to meet the changing needs of the community we serve.

Investing in our personnel is one of the most important ways we can enhance public safety. The experience and expertise gained through these programs strengthen our department and help us provide the professional, responsive service our community deserves.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Vale, Sergeant Cass, Sergeant Tamulonis, and K-9 Stella on these outstanding achievements.Thank you for your commitment, professionalism, and dedication to the Woodstock community. 🚧 Traffic Advisory – Lost River Road 🚧

The Woodstock Police Department would like to advise residents and visitors of potential traffic delays on Lost River Road due to a road hazard.

At this time, Lost River Road is reduced to one lane of travel. Motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through the area. We especially encourage motorcycle operators to exercise additional caution.

The Woodstock Fire Department, Woodstock Police Department, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation are actively working to address the situation and restore normal traffic flow as quickly and safely as possible.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

The Woodstock Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the below vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred this morning on Route 3 in the area of the White Mountain Motorsports Park, where two dogs were struck.

The Woodstock Police Department is excited to announce a new partnership with the NH Office of Highway Safety and Kustom Signals, through which our agency has been awarded a grant to acquire two portable Speed Awareness Signs for use throughout our community.

These signs are designed to help promote safer driving by displaying motorists’ speeds in real time and encouraging voluntary compliance with posted speed limits. One of the greatest benefits of these signs is their flexibility. They can be temporarily deployed in neighborhoods or along roadways where residents have concerns about speeding and can be moved throughout town to best meet the needs of our community.

Community input is an important part of this initiative, and we welcome residents to reach out if they would like to request placement of one of these signs in their neighborhood. If you have concerns about speeding in your area and would like to see one of these signs deployed, please email us at [email protected].

We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to bring additional traffic safety resources to Woodstock.

🐾 Exciting News from the Woodstock Police Department 🐾

We’re proud to share that with the generous support of the Stanton K-9 Foundation, the Woodstock Police Department has been awarded a grant in the amount of $33,650.00 to establish our very first K-9 Program.

This grant will fully fund the purchase, training, equipment, and care of our K-9, allowing us to bring this important resource to the community without impacting local taxpayers.

Please join us in welcoming K9 Stella! šŸ•Stella is a 2-year-old female Belgian Malinois who will be trained as a dual-purpose patrol and narcotics detection dog. She will be partnered with Sergeant Tamulonis, and the team will be conducting training here in NH with Prospect K9.

Once training is complete, K9 Stella will assist with:

•Locating missing persons.
•Supporting narcotics investigations
•Enhancing officer safety
•Participating in community events and demonstrations

We also want to recognize Tractor Supply Company for their generosity in helping provide food for K9 Stella. Their support plays an important role in making this program a success.

We’re excited to get this program underway and look forward to the positive impact it will have in our community. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Woodstock Police Department. We truly appreciate it.

If you have any questions about the K-9 Program, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to connect and provide any information you would like.
