Yadkin River Greenway

Yadkin River Greenway The effort began in 1994, and the first phase of the greenway became a reality and was opened May 18, 2002.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life by ensuring the creation of a riverside greenway that connects the major institutions and neighborhoods of our community. The Yadkin River Greenway was created through the cooperative efforts of citizen volunteers, landowners, and the governments of Wilkes County, North Wilkesboro, Wilkesboro, and the State of North Carolina. The Yadkin River Greenway

Council, a non-profit community organization, provided coordination and leadership. This Greenway is a natural area between urban communities where wildlife, vegetation, and streams are preserved and enjoyed. Greenways also provide transportation, recreation, and exercise opportunities for the community.

⛳ Join us for a great afternoon of golf while supporting the growth and development of the Yadkin River Greenway trails in our community!
The Yadkin River Greenway Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Oakwoods Country Club in Wilkesboro in honor of Frank Taracido and Dusty Rhodes.
Players will enjoy:

🍴 Lunch Provided
🎁 Door Prizes & Awards
🏌️ Beautiful Course & Great Competition

Registration begins at 11:30 AM
Shotgun Start at 1:00 PM
