The weather forecast for Sunday night, 2/22 into Monday, 2/23 calls for accumulating snow, blizzard-like conditions, and flooding in North Wildwood. As our City Departments prepare for the storm, please review the following reminders and information to help you get ready:
-Our Department of Public Works will soon be salting the roads to prepare for the storm. Plowing operations will begin once 3-4 inches of snow has accumulated. The trucks plan to plow the North-South streets first, followed by the East-West streets, and lastly the alleys and lanes. Please be patient as they work tirelessly to clear the roadways.
-During the snow, the public is encouraged to remain off the roads unless absolutely necessary. If you need to travel, we ask that you please maintain a safe distance from any salt or plow trucks so they may operate safely and effectively.
-If possible, we ask that all vehicles be moved to your off-street parking space, so the plows can clear snow as close to the curb as possible.
-Minor to moderate flooding is forecasted during this storm for North Wildwood. The following high tide schedule is as follows:
o Monday, 2/23 12:05am – 7.8 feet (Water on Delaware, Maryland, and New York Aves., portions of New Jersey Ave., 400 W. Spruce Ave., and adjacent side streets)
o Monday, 2/23 12:32pm – 6.8 feet (Water on Delaware and Maryland Aves. and portions of New York and 400 W. Spruce Aves.)
o Tuesday, 2/24 1:05pm – 6.0 feet (Borderline Minor Flooding)
-Please take precaution ahead of time by moving all vehicles and loose items to higher ground.
-The North Wildwood Snow Emergency Routes shall be designated to the following roads:

o Atlantic Ave. (entire length)
o All roads adjacent to Margaret Mace School (1201 Atlantic Ave.), Wildwood Catholic Academy (1500 Central Ave.) and St. Simeon’s by the Sea School (2502 Central Ave.)
-When snow has fallen and accumulation covers the street, no vehicle shall be parked in the designated Snow Emergency Routes. The parking prohibitions shall remain in effect until the street is no longer covered with snow or until the street has been plowed from curb to curb. Any vehicle parked in the Snow Emergency Route is subject to be towed.
-When clearing your property of snow, we ask that you do not place any snow piles on the streets or sidewalks.
